Trans mount nuts: 35 ft-lbs. Trans mount center bolt: 98 ft-lbs. Slave cylinder bolts: 89 in-lbs. Pressure plate to flywheel bolts: 21 ft-lbs (I suggest tightening these in 2 steps and across from each other) Flywheel bolts: Procedure- Tighten bolts across from each other like you would wheel lug nuts. Step 1: 37 ft-lbs. Step 2: 50 ft-lbs.

It's more likely that the other duratec motors, 2.3 & 2.5 including the 3.5L would probably be closer of a match since they are all based on Mazda motor design. Possibly also the ecoboost and mzr
Oct 23, 2014. #4. My 2005. Water sometimes gets in the spark plug tubes. Spark plug tubes are in a well in the cam cover. Once I think I got them wet when I rinsed heavy dew off the car with a pail of water. I have replaced 1 lifetime air filter, 1 alternator, 3 batteries and 1 thermostat. The engine used to be noisy.

All new gaskets and seals for the motor, and using the 2.5 Felpro Headgasket.
Yep. I had many focus cars in the past and always liked the tried and true 2.0 duratec but the trans sucked. Ford to the car out of the United States and fixed that flaw. The ecosport mates it to a great transmission thats been mastered over the years. The car is old school in that it has a mechanical shifter instead of shift by wire knob.

I have pre-facelift MK2 Focus (date of production: 2nd of May 2006) with 2.0 16V Duratec-HE (107 kW; A0DA) engine. The car doesn't have LPG or CNG or any other alternative fuels (nor it ever did). I only use Super 98. The mileage is around 183.000 kilometres. I changed the spark plugs when car had 135.838 km on the clock.
Ciclajbek, your engine is the Mazda L8-DE engine, or probably "Duratec 18" if American ford were to give it a name like it has the Mazda 2.0 LF-VE , and the 2.3 L3-VE engines. Anyway, for the sake of simplicity I'm going to refer to these engines with the original Mazda engine code since the 2.3L, 2.0L and 1.8L Duratec are all Mazda L-engines.
The Duratec comes in 2.0 and 2.3 liter versions. The 2.0 make about the same power as a standard Zetec, but they're torquier. The 2.3s make about 145-150 hp, depending on model year. The Duratec takes the same basic transmission as the Zetec, but with a different bellhousing and stronger internals.
